In the Becker Lab we celebrate differences, encourage discussion, and strive to cultivate a welcoming and safe space for everyone. As a team of individuals with different cultures, backgrounds, and identities, we hope to encourage diversity and inclusion both in our lab setting and in our field.

A key part of our community is our willingness to share and support one another. A core example of this is in our lab meetings, where we first begin with a round of joys and concerns. These small but meaningful moments allow us to remember that at the end of the day we are people first, and researchers second.

Ultimately, like in research and in life, nothing is ever completely right the first time around. While the Becker Lab has been well-established at Lawrence University for almost 2 years, we are continuously evolving. It takes trial and error, dedication, and growth. Together we aim to acknowledge our faults and always learn from them.

As a team, we thank you for visiting our website and hope that you will continue to explore and learn more about who we are and what we do here at the Becker Lab.
